The other night we heard shots fired nearby.
According to the scanner, the guy ran up our property
and into the woods in back.
The next day I expected the gossip vine to be humming.
Instead there was an attitude of apathy , they acknowledged
it had happened, or said they are glad they hadn't known.
The most interesting reaction was a man who said
" It doesn't matter where you live, you could be up in new hampshire,
this isnt the fifties and sixties "
i guess he's right.
