Changes

So many changes occurred during the winter months here.
now that we are gathering once more outside i see
more grey hair on people, thinner, fatter, friends gone
to nursing homes.
another big change is the influx of poor families.
this used to be elderly or handicapped only housing.
one way i can hear the difference that this has brought
is the lack of air conditioners.
every spring, the second the heat went off, the
hum of air conditioners filled the air.
This spring I do not hear a single one.
all the a/c boxes are empty !
