Vanishing Solace

You might not understand but I have to express myself here.
In Second Life, The Guild of Healer's retreat house is gone.
It was a house on a hillside with a fireplace and a cat that would walk around and pester me.
There was always tea and brownies and a comfortable chair to sit and stare at the flames.
Now there is just bare ground.
The beach where I would sit my avatar & listen to the waves is gone also.
Believe it or not, this was my weekend place to rest.
Just to walk by the PC and see 'myself' sitting there quietly somehow helped.
It is a matter of expenses,
just like the other online game I sought solace in.
oh well.

were these places that people created but no longer are a part of the game so they were removed?

Yes they are places that people created. But it was too expensive to keep so they had to sell the land and it costs money(lindens) to have buildings etc. apparently the cat was very costly too.
There are 'games' in SL but this was more of a meeting place.
