Cat on a Leash

Yep, I walk my buddy on a leash.
We go out every evening to enjoy the thick summer sundown.
The place to walk your pet is a block away, so i put her into a soft sided
carrier/duffel and toss the strap over my shoulder and no one knows there is
a cat in there :)
Lately though she has insisted on starting to walk the sidewalk back.
She gets further & further till she decides the traffic is too intense & back into the carrier she jumps. When we get onto our floor, I let her back out & she has to find our apartment door from all the identical but different smelling ones.
She has come along way... or, we have come along way from our country life...
